No, your spouse will not be required to use all of their money to pay your nursing home cost. Your spouse will be able to keep many non-countable assets and they’ll also be able to keep the community spouse resource allowance so that they can pay their expenses. Only your income will go towards paying your cost of care in the nursing home.
