The Aid & Attendance benefit program is a general name for veteran’s benefits that are received for wartime veterans and their spouses. Aid & Attendance can help the cost of care for unreimbursed medical expenses. For example, if you have up to $500 of unreimbursed medical expenses in a month and you qualify for the Aid & Attendance program because your income is low enough and your assets are low enough, then you can be reimbursed by the Veteran’s Administration for that $500 that you’re out of pocket.
