Veteran’s compensation is an amount that’s designed to compensate an injured veteran for an injury they received during or related to active duty. This is also available to their surviving spouse after their death. A veteran’s pension is an amount that’s given to a veteran or their surviving spouse to increase their income if they have very low income, or also to help them pay high medical expenses.
