Does a living trust protect property from creditors?

Video Transcript

Florida is not a domestic asset protection trust state. Under a living trust you have a general power of appointment over all of the assets in the trust, which means they can go wherever you designate. As a result there’s no credit or protection for you now, while you’re living, but there may be future credit or protection for your spouse or for your children.
