The most important document to have before you proceed with the Medicaid application is an admission sheet to a Medicaid accepting facility. That is the first document that you’ll need to have before you move forward. Then, you’ll need to gather information on your income and your assets and also the level of care that you need there in the facility. Further, it’s a good idea to plan ahead and have a durable power of attorney in place and various other healthcare documents to give somebody the legal right to make decisions for you.
