Guardianship is court supervised oversite of your person, meaning your healthcare, your mental health, medical treatment, and your legal rights. Your property if you will. A guardian is supported by the court to serve as your fiduciary and answers to the court. A guardianship usually terminates upon death, but can be terminated early if you regain whatever capacity you have be deemed to have lost by the court.
