Celebrating Thanksgiving with Our Eighth Annual Food Drive!

Thanksgiving is a special time for us each year as Americans. Our annual tradition of celebrating with family and friends on this holiday gives us the opportunity to focus on gratitude, give thanks, and enjoy a traditional meal, as we pay tribute to the abundance we are so fortunate to enjoy in our great nation.
Unfortunately, there are many families from all walks of life in Clay County and our local communities who are especially struggling this year and holiday season, and as we celebrate and enjoy special foods and favorite recipes, this is a time of year when giving food can be especially helpful and meaningful to people in need.
In order to help provide emergency food to the working poor in our county, our office is conducting its seventh annual food drive for The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs. We’re asking for you again to please help us feed the diverse population of adults and children in Clay County who are hungry.
At our office, we are truly grateful to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends, and we are humbled when we see how many citizens in our local communities are struggling with crisis situations.
Please bring cans of meat, chicken, tuna, or vegetables and jars of peanut butter or jelly to our office, and we will deliver your donations to the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs by Thursday, November 19 so they can create Thanksgiving baskets for the people they serve in Clay County.
If you have any questions about our Thanksgiving Food Drive for The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, please call our office at 904-264-8800, or come by and see us.
Since 1989, The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs has helped people in the local communities of Middleburg, Baldwin, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Jacksonville, Maxville (Clay Hill), Orange Park, and Penney Farms. It also gives food donations to people in our area who are homeless. The Food Pantry is an all volunteer organization, which allows your donations to go directly to feeding the hungry and supporting their mission in Clay County.
