A Season of Preparation

In addition to being a time for enjoying spring weather and activities, May is a month when many of us focus on being prepared for upcoming seasons. Here in Florida, we’re reminded that hurricane season is approaching and ways we can be ready for it. May is also National Elder Law Awareness Month.

This gives us the opportunity to think about how we are wise to take the practical approach of Spring cleaning and preparation to review our Estate Plans with the help of an Elder Law Attorney. Just like how we all tend to our homes and gardens, our current personal and family situations, and our broader life issues, often need tending to also. Often, just like spring cleaning, we realize there are things we think are are outdated, need cleaning up or clearing out, or that we want to add to our Estate Planning goals.

By addressing life changes and practical concerns, such as protecting our families in the case of an emergency or death, and being proactive about planning for the need of long-term care though comprehensive Estate Planning with an Elder Law Attorney, we can feel more at peace and positive about our current situations and our preparation for the future.
